Investment in offshore wind projects is accelerating worldwide. In Japan, several offshore wind power plants are scheduled to start operation in 2028, and there is growing interest in both the latest developments as well as the previous experiences of Europe and other regions in this sector.
This seminar will include insights from practice experts who are currently engaged in offshore wind projects in Asia, Europe and Japan. We will focus on: (a) the growing opportunities and key challenges in Asia and the increased pace of offshore wind developments to meet net-zero targets, (b) the lessons that can be learned from the first offshore wind market in Europe and how the latest trends there are shaping the growing international market, and (c) a summary from the perspective of Japanese companies.
